New Writers’ & Artists’ Residencies

2017 Festival Dates – 26 – 28 May

Jim Causley’s Jack Clemo CD On Sale HERE

2016 was an even greater success than previous years, and we would like to thank everyone who took part or attended. Below are a selection of photos from the festival, kindly taken by friend of the Festival, Gareth Rees-Roberts.

One of the highlights of the Festival was the launch of our CD to commemorate the great Cornish poet Jack Clemo’s centenary. Selected by Clemo biographer Luke Thompson, The Clay Hymnal features 10 of Clemo’s poems set to music by the award-winning Devon-based folk singer and multi-talented musician, Jim Causley. The CD has received rave reviews, including from Robin Denselow in The Guardian, and was featured on BBC Radio 4’s long-running ‘Poetry Please’ programme! To order your copy, visit here

We are busy planning next year’s festival, and will keep you updated here, but in the meantime put those dates in your diary: 26 – 28 MAY 2017 !!

We have also been busy putting together our latest project – FREE Residencies for Writers and Artsists at Warleggan in the heart of Bodmin Moor! BMPF has been instrumental in setting up The Roger and Laura Farnworth Residency Programme, and we are grateful to Arts Council England for initial support via Arts for All National Lottery funding.
If you are interested in applying for a Residency, please see the details here.

See you next May!
